CFA pile foundation

Application:

  • deep foundation for small, medium and high load industrial, office, and residential buildings

  • deep foundation for small- and medium‑span road and railway bridges

  • structural elements for pile retaining walls of deepexcavations

This method is the most commonly used construction technology for reinforced concrete piles with diameters up to 1,0 meters and maximum drilling depths of 22–24 meters. The Continuous Flight Auger (CFA) piling method operates by screwing the hollow auger into the ground to the required depth. During the extraction of the auger the soil is extracted from the ground and the pile body is filled with concretethrough the hollow drilling tool simultaneously. This ensuresthe continuous stability of the borehole and therefore the proper pile capacity and quality. Finally, the the prefabricated reinforcement cage is installed into the fresh concrete.
