Slurry supported bored pile foundation

Application:

This method is used for the construction of reinforced concrete piles with diameters of 1.0 meter or larger, and for piles that exceed depths of 22–24 meters and therefore CFA method cannot be applied. The technology is characterized by the use of a cylindrical drilling bucket, which removes the soil while the stability of the borehole is maintained by bentonite or polymer slurry, similarly to diaphragm wall excavation. After the excavation of the pile borehole is completed, the reinforcement cage forming the permanent structural element is installed, followed by concreting of the pile, carried out in parallel with the de-pumping of the slurry from the borehole.
