After the successful load tests, we were involved in the construction works of the new Tisza Bridge and the floodplain bridge near Tiszapüspök in the summer of 2014. With minor interruptions, the piling works continued till March 2015 when the construction came to a temporary break. We have managed to finish our tasks within the given timeframe and by setting up a safe working platform, we also contributed to the archaeological exploratory works uncovering and saving valuable Avar-era remains for the future.

During the implementation works of the 12-storey Szervita Square Building set in the fifth district of Budapest, containing offices, shops and apartments as well, our company performed all tasks from the creation of the deep foundation concept to the construction of this part, continuously managing civil engineering risks. The downtown environment required special attention, and the prevention of subsidence or deterioration was of utmost importance. For this reason, throughout the works carried out five floors deep, we used special technology to encircling the working pit, which is unique in Hungary. This method ensuring that the walls withstood the outside ground and water pressure and that no damage was caused to the surrounding, densely-built buildings.

One of the most spectacular venues of the 2017 Budapest World Water Championships was created with the involvement of our experts. We were the ones who carried out the piling works of the 65-ton steel diving board set up on Batthyány Square overlooking the Danube. The structure and the pool below were built onto a 17×47 meter reinforced concrete foundation in the riverbed. The work had to be performed from barges anchored on the Danube which was also hampered by the sudden flooding too. With the support of Soletanche Bachy’s French engineers, the substructure of the tower was completed in time, following a 24-hour work schedule.

The investor of Agora Budapest commissioned special deep foundation works with regards to a 136,000 m² premium category complex containing modern offices and business premises to be built in one of the busiest streets of Budapest populated with office buildings. The encircling of the working pit and dewatering works of the Váci Street investment began in the first half of 2017. Due to the closeness of utilities and the underground line, as well as the location’s nature as a busy traffic hub, we applied unique cost-effective D-wall and piling solutions, while the protection of the surrounding buildings and roads was ensured by the operation of a continuous monitoring system. After the excavation of the working pit, the project continued with piling works for the new office buildings. The deep foundation designed by us guarantees the stability of the two new blocks, including the 16-storey high Agora Tower, with more than 10 kilometres of CFA piles.

In case of foundation works carried out in landscape protection areas, the most important aspect is the protection of the environment. It was our main goal, when we were asked to take part in a development project focusing on Natura 2000 areas around Lake Tisza in 2014. Our specialists were given the task of underpinning the Tiszafüred bridge carrying pedestrian and bicycle traffic. After a long preparatory phase, with the installation of pontoons and a pusher ship on site, and by using a 240-ton crane and the immediate removal of the generated waste, we completed the task in an environmentally friendly manner, in a short time.

During the seven decades following the end of the Second World War, only partial renovations and reconstructions were carried out on the Békéscsaba railway station that is why it was unable to fully and comfortably serve passengers. The aim of the comprehensive renovation -between 2013 and 2016- was to eliminate this situation. During the reconstruction works, we carried out the foundation of the railway station in more than 3 km length, while we also performed complex tasks related to earthworks, isolation, dewatering and structural engineering on site.

The reconstruction works of Palatinus Bath, a popular bathing resort in Budapest since 1919, began in 2015. As part of the project, the frontage of the building was renovated, new wellness and fitness areas were evolved in the basement and the thermal pool got covered, enabling the bath to remain open all year. We took part in the reconstruction of the northern and southern wings of the complex, our specialists underpinning the support of the buildings- accepted in 1938- and the foundation of the more than hundred-year-old main building with maximum compliance to the monument protection regulations.
