The deep foundation works of the Dunaville residential complex, planned for the Móricz Zsigmond quay in Győr, were carried out by HBM. In the former floodplain of the Mosoni-Danube, we successfully met the design and construction challenges of this exclusive residential project — featuring an underground parking level and varying heights between 8 and 13 floors — thanks to the exemplary and transparent collaboration between the Client and the co-contractors.

The foundation of the building is ensured by nearly 600 Screwsol piles combined with the RC foundation slab under construction. Our self-developed Screwsol soil-displacement piles were installed to penetrate into the stiff gravel layer appearing at varying depth. Continuous design supervision of the data recorded by our drilling rigs ensured the compliance with the specified load-bearing requirements.

This piling method allowed us to avoid the removal and landfill disposal of nearly 1,000 m3 of drilling spoil. Furthermore, by optimal harmonization of the design with the earthwork and piling processes, we managed to trisect the amount of concrete trimming and therefore minimize related concrete debris and noise pollution of neighbouring residential buildings.
