Screwsol pile foundation

Application:

  • deep foundation solution for small and medium-load office and residental buildings
  • deep foundation of typical industrial hall structures

The Screwsol displacement pile technology, patented by Soletanche Bachy, is based on the principle that no soil is excavated during pile installation. Instead, the specially designed drilling tool displaces and compacts the surrounding soil laterally. With this method, piles of three different diameters can be constructed, typically with depths ranging from 4 to 18 meters. Concreting of the pile and the installation of the reinforcement cage are carried out similarly to the CFA technology, but due to the rotation of the tool during extraction, the pile shaft develops a helical (spiral) profile, which increases the load‑bearing capacity. Thanks to its low material consumption, fast construction process, and the fact that no excavated soil is generated—thus eliminating the need for handling, transport, or disposal—the Screwsol method has become one of the most efficient foundation solutions for small and medium‑load industrial and residential buildings in recent decades.
